Femme Fitale

Categories: Health

Screen-Shot-2012-05-28-at-11.17.49-PMTonight I start this new exercise class called Femme Fitale. It has me both excited, intrigued and a little nervous. The class combines kickboxing and martial arts conditioning for a female only group. This is why I was intrigued. I have wanted to take some sort of new exercise routine to add to my mix, but frankly I am not the jazzercise kind of girl. I want to take a class that challenges me and makes me feel as if I am learning new skills. This total-body workout includes jump rope, circuit training, kickboxing drills and conditioning, core strengthening, partnered … Continued

Catch Crooked Arrows

89441_galLast weekend I got to check out the Toronto Premiere of Crooked Arrows, the first Lacrosse film from a North American perspective (not like this flick). IMG_1946The secret is out. I have a television show in development, Urban Native Girl, a 13 part documentary series that will feature a whole lot of Aboriginal fashion, fun, and folly. It has been given development funding by Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) and the Canadian Media Fund (CMF). This is precisely why I am so excited to go to Banff WorldMedia Festival, one of the world’s top production and media-arts festivals. It hosts the world’s largest global development and production marketplace where the latest in digital media innovation is showcased and forward-thinking industry leaders converge. At #Banff2012, I will be pitching Urban … Continued
