Jacob’s photo for the Sexiest Native Male competition. Just look at that hair. Do you want to win a year’s supply of the Dove Nourishing Oil Care system? Yeah I thought so … This product line has worked wonders for my hair as I’ve spent a few rainy days here in LA and kept it smooth and sleek. I even refilled my travel containers with the shampoo and conditioner. Somehow I just knew it would come in handy. Anyhow in our Indigenous community many of our fine brothers have long hair too, that they also need to keep it sleek … Continued
I’m at 0:52 on the far right. Blink and you might miss me … I don’t blend well …Photo by Rachael McCaig The weather here in LA is kind of rainy lately, and it’s been putting my hair to the test. Thankfully, I’m prepared. Last month I was invited by Ogilvy PR (shot out to Terri!) to join 13 other social media mavens from across Canada to be on a music video that is streaming on Dove Canada’s social media channels. There I was given Dove Nourishing Oil Care products which I brought with me on my LA trip. My … Continued
Hello all! Although I am now on Dia 4, I thought I’d still share this video from yesterday afternoon. I was having *major* issues trying to upload it to YouTube yesterday but finally got it on FB today (thanks JP!). So if you are a video editing person please let me know cause clearly I need it and I want to vlog more but don’t want it to take up all of my time … Enjoy! Oh so gangstah. The scene at Ugo’s last night. JRo, Karina Dominquez, Marlene, Victor, Jolene Cheefclothing, Charlie, Brian Frejo.
Down on Me by Jeremih feat. 50 Cent I know this song is kind of raunch, but I still can’t help myself from listening to it over and over again. I am pretty sure it’s because of that singing in the background which totally sounds like a pow wow vibe. Has Jeremih been taking his cues from A Tribe Called Red? Either way, I want to get on the dance floor. Pow Wow ‘Riddim’ remix by Bear Witness
Derek Miller Live at The Rivoli. Derek by Dega Lazare. After I dropped off Ashley and Jacob off at the airport on March 3rd I had to rush on over to The Rivoli because Derek Miller wass playing and I knew it would be a great show. It’s awesome to hang out with Native people in the city and that night was no exception. It was a collection of cool cats listening to some good music. This is what gold level status at Royal York gets you … Veuve! Joseph Boyden et moi. Big ups to Hiro Chavez for colour … Continued
Last week was such a beautiful and blissful journey. I feel so blessed as every day the Creator gives me more and more to be thankful for in this life. I had the Aboriginal Awareness Days and Pow Wow at York University this past week and it was my first year in helping organize this fabulous event. It kicked off with the Aboriginal Youth Education Day where I brought in local Native youth from the GTA and London to visit the campus and learn about the post-secondary options that they have when graduating high school. Moi and Ashley at the … Continued
