Last night I was heading out to a Bonobo concert with my boyfriend and Katerryna and decided to base my entire outfit on my new Mary Jane Frances arrowhead necklace that I got in the mail this week. So I put on this Urban Outfitters silk top I bought a few weeks ago and added my requisite skinny Citizens of Humanity Jeans and a pair of comfy Nine West heels and I was ready to go. Almost. Of course I had to do my makeup and with a whole pile of new makeup from Maybelline via Matchstick, I couldn't wait to try it out.
I tried the Maybelline EyeStudio eyeshadow in the 'Copper Chic' palette. I found the eyeshadow was really silky to put on and had a lot of pigmentation on it so you need to be careful when applying (i.e. not in a massive rush and already a glass of Bourgogne Aligote deep). I used the first color all over the lid and blended with the other three colours to make the look above.
I also used a black eyeshadow as a liner and tried out this new XXL Pro 24 Hour Bold mascara. I did not expect to even like it that much, I mean how can it possibly compare to Diorshow? But it worked wonders. The first step was all about seperating, defining and lengthening while the second step really bolstered my lashes large. This might just be my new go-to mascara this summer especially since the top coat is waterproof.
I had to do my hair in front of my iMac photo booth since there is only one restroom in this apartment. When I buy a loft it absolutely must have two bathrooms because this is a little ridiculous, even for me who worships my iMac.
Also in my loft there will be lots of blank walls and empty space so I can take proper outfit pictures this is totally cluttered and returded.
Sometimes I just love taking pictures of myself a little too much and I get carried away and take them in the car. It must really freak out the cars on the highway when there is like bright flashes of light coming from our car. At least my boyfriend is a good sport about it all and even makes me laugh while I am up to my silliness.
Concert time. The opening act comes on after about half an hour of us standing near the front, we were like three rows back. The tallest couple in the entire concert decided that they need to be second row center. Seriously people? You are like 6'4 I think you can just go to the side and see just fine. There were like four girls all under 5' right behind them.
The Invisible were the opening acting. They were okay. I haven't heard much of them before, I am digging their song 'Come Together.' We were all kind of in awe of how "eclectic" they both looked.
Bonobo time. I didn't even recognize their name when Kateryna invited me to the concert and my boyfriend said he was
But the real highlight of the evening was when the vocalist Andreya Triana came out. Kateryna and I (probably my boyfriend too) had immediate girl crushes on her. She was beautiful, had on a hip (albeit unflattering) outfit, and sang so amazingly beautiful. She is one of those women who just glows and carries herself so well you can't help but be in awe. Watching the keyboard player who basically just stared at her and grooved while she sang was quite the spectacle although the whole audience was probably equally as captivated.
Then we all headed over to Milestones at Yonge/Dundas and shared a few more laughs. I just had to capture Kateryna's hair because it was ridiculously cute. She braided it and then pinned it into a bun. It looked really fresh. I must remember to revisit that look. Katy and I are so funny because we are always into the same thing at the same time even if we don't see each other for a little while. We are both currently obsesses with braids and Nicole Ritchie's hair. I love that girl. It is so sweet to spend a night with such a lovely like her taking in good tunes.

Ugh, yeah, I hate the tall people who insist on standing in front at shows! Its so unfair to those of us who are not tall at all. I'm not there to have my nose in a stranger's back!
