Week 3: Workout Rewards

I have been totally lazy feeling a little sick these past few weeks and kind of fell of the gym routine (and only in January - yikes!). Luckily I got my motivation back, sparked by @unmarketing 's UnBootcamp which he offered on Twitter for UnStudents. It's five weeks to build your business. I took the first week and I am already reaping the rewards. My brand is me so I can apply these strategies to myself, my life, and my goals in such an easy and applicable manner.

So my goal setting for the first week was to get myself in the gym at least three times a week. This is not a huge aspiration but it is one that I need to get solidly in place so that I can work towards better health and ultimately more energy to get everything done. Following Scott Stratten's advice I set up a reward system for reaching my goal this week. 

I chose this fabulous necklace you see above. Mine will have a "c" for Charlie (my nickname) and Charleyboy (my last name obv.). I fell in love with it last week and decided it was a worthy goal to get me in the gym. And it worked. Next week I am going to work towards earning a black Manduka yoga mat. Wish me luck!

  1. Rewarding yourself for a job well done is thee way!! I'm pretty lax w/ my rules though, so I don't know if that counts lol...

  2. DreLynn - I will never forget our Twitter convo that day! "I go to Sephora if I make it to the [ost office." So funny. I am really happy to applying this to get myself motivated to get to the gym. Cannot wait for my new yoga mat :P.
