And now for the very first giveaway of the year, drumroll please, it's a ladies t-shirt from Louie Gong. If you haven't heard of him before, he has a company called Eighth Generation that is responsible for all those Coast Salish designed Vans you might have spotted on various Facebook pages and peeps rocking them around Indian Country.
Louie an Indigenous person of mixed heritage (Nooksack, Chinese, French, Scottish) who grew up in Ruskin, BC and in the Nooksack tribal community. He has found success in activism and art. He graduated in a counseling program and has only started his design company in 2009. His first foray into painting in Coast Salish style on drums for the 2006 canoe journey, and he hasn't looked at life the same since.
The t-shirt giveaway is a female Dragon Shirt, which is the first of his t-shirt releases. It is size small and fits small (approximately 32 Bust, 27 waist). So please only enter if this is your size or you know someone who this would be a perfect fit for. The contest is open to United States and Canadian residents only and will be closing Wednesday, January 13th at 10 AM. Good luck!
