Currently obsessing: Alexander McQueen for Samsonite Carry-on suitcase

 

  

Earlier this year I went on all-out laptop bag search. I wanted functional, sexy, somewhat luxurious design for my laptop bag in black, and in leather. I came across the 'Alexander McQueen for Samsonite' laptop bag online and I wanted it immediately. Except this line came out over two years ago and was nowhere to be found to be purchased online. Arrgh!

 

 

 

Last month sometime I wondered into Winners Dufferin Mall, yes Dufferin Mall (in an unsavory location for those of you outside Toronto). I found many of the Alexander McQueen pieces in there. A bunch of the laptop bags and was stoked! I walked away with that top TwitPic for $180 that I am in love with.

Today I walked into Winners (undisclosed location) and saw the carry-on luggage piece in the middle pic. Fell in love. Almost bought it. Thought about it. Now obsessing. Must have it. It doesn't match my bag- I should have the ostrich version (shown in the bottom picture), but still they do look smart and sexy. I can already imagine how I will be on that flight to Gathering of Nations in New Mexico and will be bumped up to first class because of my smashing carry-on. Everyone on the flight will be lusting after my carry-on. Remind you of Sophie Kinsella anyone? Yes that is how I really think ...

So the big debate is whether tomorrow I go to undisclosed Winner's location and snatch up the carry-on piece of luggage that is $200. But I would have it for at least 10 years and it would look FABULOUS and AMAZING and would pay itself back in all of those first-class upgrades and free champagne and stellar hotel service I would receive. Really it would.

Oh and FYI the set in the 2nd picture (My bag in ostrich, smaller bag in ostrich, and the coveted ostrich carry-on suitcase) is selling on eBay for *gulp* $1650 USD! Yes I got my bag for $180 CAD, carry-on for $200 CAD = $380 CAD for 2/3 of that set, and less than 25% of the eBay cost. Oh yeah did I mention the carry-on suitcase is practically FREE? Okay scheduling return visit to Winners tomorrow.
