Photo from Globe and MailSo last night I was invited to attend the Telus sponsored cocktail party at the Harbourfront where we could take in the Cirque de Soleil show as a part of the Luminato affair. So I got all gussied up and put on some favorite heels and headed over to the event.
We were running a little on the late side so when we got there all the good viewing spots were taken. I scarfed down a slider and sipped on some chardonnay while viewing over the crowd at the Cirque performers who looked like swamp creatures. Then one of those creatures came right up to our side of the partay (the public side was on the other side where we all got to look super snobby with our snacks and drinks while we stood on the patio). The creature came right up beside me and hung out calling to her peeps that were on the other side of the pond. It was really cute but since I was the only one of my crew with a semi-visible spot I had to give it up to go join the team.

The band which R knew but I forgot their name, they were fun.So we all hung out and enoyed each other's company, the free food (cheescake pops were my personal fav) and the drinks. Oh yes the drinks. I hung out with Nicole a lot trying to convince her to come to Vegas for my birthday in August.
Melissa's top was super cute and she loooved it. Should have asked her the designer, my bad.It was fun and pretty fancy so I was on my best behaviour. I was one of the youngest peeps there though so I thought maybe I should have been more conservative in my dress. Oops. I should have worn my LBD and some nice sensible shoes. After the party wrapped up we went to drop off R's bro and his gorgeous girlfriend to check out their new dog, Rose Nyland. Oh my isn't she adorable?

ReplyDeleteMaybe you're falling in wooden high heels is a sign that you should get your own sitcom based on your life. I can see it now..."Urban Native Girl starring Lisa Charleyboy." But is it set in Toronto, NYC or LA? Decisions. Decisions.
The whole sitcom could be based on Lisa's indecision in settling in one city, and the show could feature her flying back and forth between her residences in each city...
ReplyDeleteha ha you guys are so funny, I like the idea of a sitcom especially with me flying to my favorite cities. hmmm just got to get an investor ...
