Gucci mocs rock. The other day my Twitter/Facebook friend, Brad Crowfoot (aka Nutly.net), got to chatting about Native-inspired sneaks and I showed him via Twitter (http://twitter.com/UrbanNativeGirl) this Spring/Summer 2009 Gucci pair that I came across (also via Twitter )
They also come in white too. There was some debate about how cool these really are but I say they will be hot on a Big Primpin' Native guy. Kim Ziervogel told me that her hairdresser John at the Vault Salon & Spa in Winnipeg has a pair. And yes that does make me want to go to the 'Peg and get my hair cut by him.
So Crowfroot showed me the Nike ACG x Pendleton collection that came out last November that I somehow missed. Wab Kinew, also a fellow Winnipegger (but not a hairdresser) has got the shoes, jacket, and backpack. While they ain't no Gucci's they are pretty Big 'Peggin.

Interesting. I'm not sure if I could bare them getting super popular though. I can imagine a sea of those white shoes filling the crowd of every indie rock concert I'd go to.
